Are Atheists Angry, Sarcastic And Venomously Anti God In Their Attacks Against Religion Particularly Christianity?
Comments(11) I’ve just recently read some of the comments from Atheists because my grand daughter is dating such a person and I wanted to understand their thinking.
WOW! What I’ve learned is that They’re all so angry, sarcastic, and venomous in their attacks on religion….particularly Christianity.
There is no sweet spirit to be found in them. I’ve tried to find an anti-atheist t shirt to wear when he wears his anti-God shirts, but did you know you can’t find them on the web. Anti-God, anti Christian stuff is everywhere to be purchased …. and yet the they complain about how the atheist are discriminated against,blah, blah, blah etc.
Well boo hoo. I’ve read enough of their whiny, self centered rants. I will certainly not encourage or accept such a negative force in our family. Doesn’t the scriptures say that the gospel is “foolishness” to those who don’t believe? and that “the FOOL says in his heart that there is no God” so thousands of years ago, the writers of scripture were inspired to prepare believers that the unbelief would be in the world. And isn’t Satan “the prince” of this world anyway? I think atheist are perhaps just part of his army…doing his work.
The reason why Atheists are so pissed off all of the time is because they are jealous of the relationship we have with Jesus Christ.
If these people were complete inside themselves then they’d just accept religion as the positive force for good both you and I know it is.
All we can do is pray for them to understand the Wisdom of God.
but it isn’t a positive force. it is a delusion that harms human beings as a species. anti-theists are not particularly anti-christian you just live in a western culture where the dominant religion is christianity so you notice it more.

the scripture may say that but then other story books say that dragons are real so you can’t really take that for granted

imagine you are satan you could either be less powerful, as powerful or more powerful than god.
if you are less then oh dear but to actually be any sort of threat you must have some power, enough say to kill all those pesky christians.
if you have equal then you confront god and have a really boring and predictable battle (probably with quite a bit of goatee pulling) and end p destroying the world which is what you really want

You see, in logical christian philosophy (an oxymoron I know but just bare with me) it makes more scene for our merciful, loving, forgiving, kind, and generous heavenly father to just sit back and let us sin knowing full well that we WILL sin (and he KNOWS we will sin, you know… being omnipotent and all). then after we sin, our merciful, loving, forgiving, kind, and generous heavenly father then sends us to the pits of hell where our invisible soul like spirit thingys will burn and choke and screem and suffer till the end of time. see? it makes perfect sense….

I have seen more corruption, judging, and hatefulness at those fashion shows on sunday you call church then ive seen anywhere else on earth. Why would we be jealous of you?
You take it in our time to repeatedly tell us “Jesus loves all!”, “Turn to God, he is our only hope!”, “Referring to Galatians 5:16…”, you constantly bugger us to convert, and you place heavy-handed restrictions on how we live our lives (although this point is not specific to Christianity). Why should we disallow stem-cell research? Because some people believe it is morally wrong? “Well, I’m sorry Mrs. Jones but I’m afraid the cancer in your lungs cannot be cured as the methods we could be using have been BANNED”.
Why should we live life by people that believe a book written over 2,000 years ago (also note that this is before we even realised THE WORLD WAS NOT FLAT) is much more realistic than the Dungeons and Dragons board game? And what makes it any more conceivable than the Qur’an? The Bhagavad Gita? The Torah, Vedas?
I can tell you what is similar: they were all written a very long time ago, before man had much knowledge of anything much at all, and they all base their beliefs on one or more magical deities.
Why?
Because at the time of their writing, that’s all they knew.
Now to the actually post in hand. I’d like you to know atheists are not angry, sarcastic and venomously anti-God, and attacks are not particularly towards Christianity.
Considering we are being oppressed by Christianity the most, it seems sufficient to say that is why you hear about attacks on Christianity the most. If it was Hinduism? Fine, I’m anti-Hindu as well. Actually, let’s change that a little bit.

Wow, did the atheists prove the OP’er right or what? Venom? Check. Anger? Check. Sarcasm? Check. I used to be an Atheist, and I WAS jealous of what Christians had: happiness, meaning, purpose, good families, strong marriages, respectful kids, and inner peace. I even admitted that I was jealous, but I always said with extra snark sauce “ignorance is bliss.” I’m sure we’ve all heard atheists say that about the happiness of Christians.
I, am not the kind of Christian that does not bash atheists. I rather enjoy making fun of them. I was looking at those bus signs from England that say “there probably is no God, so stop being scared and enjoy your life.” I came up with a counter slogan:
“There probably is no God. So stop being afraid and do whatever you want, just don’t get caught.

15% of Americans are “Nones” (Atheist Non-religious). How many people do you meet in a day? Are 1 in every 7 so nasty?
Earl, I find it hard to believe you were an atheist who looked at claims skeptically/critically. Happiness, meaning, purpose, good families, strong marriages, respectful kids, and inner peace — what an inaccurate generalization. Atheists or theists can have what you mentioned, and many of both lack them as well. For the record, while correlation doesn’t necessarily imply causation, a lower % of atheist marriages end in divorce compared to Christians (religioustolerance.org), and atheists are (percentage wise) underrepresented in prisons. There’s actually probably a third factor that’s the cause.
Inner peace…. yes, religion can be a consoling force when a loved one dies, though that hardly says anything about truth. As for my own death, when it comes, if there is no afterlife I won’t know it. In my opinion and the opinion of many atheists we would rather spend time making the most of the life we KNOW we have than an afterlife we can at best guess at. Because we believe this may be the only life we have, we don’t want to screw it up for ourselves or others. If anything, I think that mindset values life and people’s rights more.
Meaning? Purpose? We give our own lives meaning and purpose. We don’t require a supernatural being to do that for us.
Hapiness of Christians? I feel I have a good, happy life. I am fortunate for what I have not because of divine intervention but because my parents worked hard to give me opportunities and I worked hard to take advantage of those opportunities. I won’t diminish their efforts by giving an imaginary being the credit.
