Comments(7) You don’t have one single evidence for Jesus’ divinity. All you do is keep saying, “oh scientists can’t explain this, therefore Jesus is God.”
When knowledge is lacking for an absolute conclusion, a neutral and factual approach is the most effective and reasonable method to obtain truth. And obviously you do not have enough evidence (not even one) to say that your collection of 66 iron age books is the absolute source of anything. So, unless you can provide a reasonable evidence, you, or any other Christian must admit that your belief is just an opinion, just as believing in santa or fairies.
The evidence for His divinity can be found in the Bible. How come all of the books in Bible fail to contradict one another once when they were written over a span of several thousand years by many different authors? How come they all manage to predict the coming of the Messiah.
You’ll obviously try to explain this all away by saying it isn’t scientific but either way I just don’t think you want to know the truth.

a) only two books predict any messiah
b) there is a ~350 year gap between the two predictions
c) both predictions are very wrong
d) this is why the story of Jesus birth is impossible (ie the star, the census etc did not occur on the same dates)
e) the bible contradicts itself on just about everything
f) the books of the bible were chosen from amoung a massive pol of literature, all saying different things, many contradicting the other.
for anyone who fancies i would suggest the gospel of Judas and The Gospel of Mary (magdelen) as reading material, they are quite interesting (if you didn’t know what he would later do you might think judas to be the best of the 12 (actually jesus’ main group could be said to be either 7 or 18 or 93 depending on who you counted, there was no group of 12.
gospel of mary, whilst very hard to obtain (i have only ever seen editions predating the 1910-20’s , I paid £650 for mine) is very interesting, it is probably the most realistic. as far as i know it is the only gospel to call jesus yeshua (his real name) it talks of him as a mortal man (one of the main reasons it was not put in the bible. it speaks of jesus marriage and his 2 sons and daughter (one son still born, one son died very early, this is known not from any gospel but historical record) it even describes his daughter till age 4 or so which was around the time he was executed.

Mandat’s post was good. I would add that it’s easy to make things match if you write things the right way. I’m sure the later authors knew about what was in the old testament before they wrote was in the knew. It’s easy to make fiction say what you want it to.
the bible is a fable, just like the greek and roman myths – not based in fact. the argument that Jesus’ divinity is backed up by the bibnle is a circular argument, since, again, the bible is a myth . . . it’s hearsay. no-one who wrote anything in the bible actually ’saw’ jesus or anything he did (even if he existed . . .
EVERY ‘miracle’ and ‘divine’ story of jesus can be traced back to even older religions (Hinduism, Paganism, etc) The only reason Christianity is one of the dominant religions today is because they persecuted and killed anyone who didn’t believe or convert.
You have absolutely no evidence for your god, and neither does anyone else for their gods. It’s interesting that people’s religion is almost always the religion they were brought up in. It all depends on WHERE you were born. Nothing more. So christians are no better than muslims, or hindus, budhists, rainforest tribes. You are ALL wrong. It’s so obvious to the outside observer. We are animals. We are smart animals, but animals none-the-less. Get over it and enjoy the time you have. Don’t waste your time on this mindless preoccupation for the after life. This is the only life you will ever get. Life is precious for us all. Religion just clouds your thinking while you are alive.

You cant say that the proof of gods existence in the bible, because, well, how can you know that everything in the bible is correct??
